Spice up boring old hamburgers with this easy Blackened Cajun Burger recipe. We all need a little spice in our lives right?
How many times can you eat the same old boring hamburger? Lettuce and tomato just don’t do it for the real connoisseur. You need a little something to bring out the flavor in your meat.
This recipe gives plain burgers just the right amount kick! The Blackened Cajun spice balances nicely with the mild Mozzarella cheese.
It is the perfect main dish to pair with Homemade Mac ‘N Cheese to cool it down. If you love the Cajun heat, trying serving with a side of Cheesy Cajun Baked Asparagus.
To make two 1/4 pound burgers:
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground meat
- 1 teaspoon Blackened Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup mild pepper rings
- 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Kaiser Rolls
Directions
- Divide meat in half and form 2 burger patties. Cook in a pan on medium heat. (Works just as well on the grill!)
- During cooking, sprinkle burgers with about 1/4 teaspoon of Blackened Cajun seasoning on each side. Remember this little spice can pack a punch so use more or less to suit your taste buds.
- While burgers are cooking, add mild banana pepper rings to the pan and allow them to sear.
- Cook burgers to desired temperature and place on Kaiser roll.
- Add shredded Mozzarella to each burger and top with cooked banana peppers.
- Add top bun and enjoy your juicy burger!
