I’m embarrassed to admit that I have often been known to just eat PB&J for lunch right along with the kids. I’m 27 years old…I should be beyond peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but it’s just so easy to make another one when I’m making them for the kids that I’ve found myself stuck in a lunch rut.
During the school year last year I realized I needed a new lunch plan. The kids were in classes so I wasn’t making lunches for all of us at the same time anymore. 1 or 2 pm would hit before I realized that I hadn’t made lunch for myself since I didn’t have the kids home pestering for food every 10 or 15 minutes.
Since time is precious while the kids are in school I knew I needed to do something that wouldn’t take much time but would provide good lunch options for me while I work from home when they are in school. This was when I discovered Tai Pei frozen entrees (and appetizers!).
There is a HUGE selection of these Asian inspired frozen entrees in our local Kroger store. They have flavors like Pepper Beef, Combination Fried Rice, Beef and Broccoli, Chicken Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, General Tso’s Spicy Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I love the variety because it makes it super easy to switch things up, and all for a great price! In fact, Save $1.00 on ONE (1) Tai Pei® Entrée (7.9 oz. or larger) or Appetizer with this awesome coupon!
Since they come in single-serve containers I’m able to pick up a few at the store and have a different tasty lunch every day. These containers are microwave safe, so they would be just easy to take to a job outside the home as it is to throw in the microwave to heat up at home!
Each entree is made with high quality ingredients and NO artificial flavors or preservatives. It’s a delicious and convenient lunch (or dinner!) option that you can feel good about eating!
A few last tips to help you get lunchtime under control when you work from home…
- Set an alarm to help you remember when it’s lunch time in the middle of a long day of work.
- Listen to calm music during lunch so you have a relaxing break in the middle of the day and can be back to working productively after your tasty lunch.
- Set two more alarms an hour before and an hour after lunch to remind you to stand up, walk around and drink a glass of water.
- Try a quick at-home workout in the middle of the day to keep your blood pumping.
